When I first arrived in Japan six months ago, I knew nothing about Japan and couldn't speak Japanese. As you can imagine, I was excited to experience a new culture in Tokyo and start campus life, but I was still very anxious. Who should help me when I need help? Who should I talk to when I don't understand or get lost in Japanese culture? Unfortunately, shortly after I arrived in Japan, I noticed that most Japanese couldn't speak English. This means that it is difficult for you to seek help.
But I quickly found the right place to support a student like me at all times. The secretariat of the school. Normally, Japanese universities have their own offices in each department, which are in charge of daily management such as application, admission registration, course arrangement, and scholarship application. Also, keep in mind that your school's office is more than an executive branch, and it's definitely not "bureaucracy."

Looking back on the first few days of my college life, I'm not confused or worried about Japanese culture and I'm well prepared to study at college. That's exactly what the secretariat of my school brought. The Secretariat warmly welcomed us, paid close attention to our questions, and did our best to answer them. After enrollment, the secretariat of my school will continue to help new students. Every time I go there, I am relieved to the secretariat who always welcomes me warmly and kindly.
I was welcomed by the staff of the secretariat on the day I entered the university. Surprisingly, she speaks perfect English, and others in the secretariat also speak English. Without the language barrier, we talked a lot in a free atmosphere. Our themes ranged from school facilities and school circles to Japanese language and culture. In the past, I rarely talked to the staff of the secretariat, who is the administrator. Besides this frank conversation, our school secretariat held a welcome party for all new students. At the party, I introduced myself and enjoyed eating and drinking. Most importantly, I was able to make friends with the staff of this secretariat through the party.

If you have any problems with your school life, feel free to talk to us. When you pass through the secretariat door, they will say:"Hello, How can I help you?"
